Mom and Dad lived on a farm near Annaheim, SK for about 18 years, then moved their family to Regina where they lived until their passing. Mom and Dad built a cottage at Colesdale Park after Dad retired at the age of 65. They spent the next 30 years spending their summers out there gardening, planting trees, entertaining family and just enjoyed their time out there so much. We all have lots of fond memories of the time spent there as a family.
Mom loved to curl in the winter. She skipped many good rinks to victory in her day, was very competitive and loved the game. Mom was an amazing housekeeper, homemaker, cook, baker and she hosted many Christmas dinners over the years and also many other occasions when family would gather either in town or out at the lake.
Special thanks to caregivers and staff at Regina Lutheran Home and Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home for their excellent care. All expressions of sympathy are welcome. Donations in Betty’s memory can be made to the Santa Maria Foundation (Recreation/Activities).
Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 100 Argyle Street N., Regina, SK. Interment in Regina Memorial Gardens.

To the family: Your mother, grand-mother was such a kind, strong lady. I will remember her giggle, her passion for curling, her sweetness. My mother was so proud to call her sister and she loved visiting and chatting with her. We will miss you, Auntie Betty. Love Brenda, Bill and our family.

Your mom was such a beautiful woman and so loving. I remember meeting her and your dad many yrs ago when I went with my mom and dad. They made us feel so welcomed and she made the best cinnamon buns for us. May God keep her in his loving embrace and give you strength to keep going.

I remember our first trip to Saskatchewan as a kid in 1973. We had a lovely visit with our aunts, uncles, and cousins. Aunt Betty was so accommodating to my mom and dad - with five of us kids at the time. May she rest in peace and pray for the rest of us still here on the earthly journey. We are praying for the comfort of her family.
